HOW TO BEST EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR MUCK® BOOTS.
PUTTING ON YOUR BOOTS
When putting on your boots, make sure the boot shaft is fully extended. Our neoprene upper can be a close fit, and if you don't pull the boots out to their full height or tuck too much trouser fabric inside, this can lead to excessive creasing at the ankle joints.
TAKING OFF YOUR BOOTS
The best way to take them off is with a boot jack. There are many boot jacks on the market, including our own. Avoid using the other foot on the heel of the boot or a step, staircase or rock to remove them, as this can damage the boot and put excessive pressure on the heel and sole, which can lead to damage.
STORING YOUR BOOTS
Avoid storing your boots in direct sunlight, near artificial heat or at sub-zero temperatures, as this can cause the rubber to become brittle, deteriorate and crack. It is best to store your boots upright to avoid kinks and creases — crumpled newspaper can help with this.
LEATHER AND FABRIC UPPERS
Use a suitable leather care product for leather uppers. Once dry, fabric/textile uppers can be gently brushed with a soft brush to remove any remaining mud.
*Our boots are truly fantastic and with the right care they should last a long time and meet the highest demands even in the toughest conditions. However, they are designed for work and walking. In particular, our knee-high boots are not suitable for driving or riding, unless expressly stated. Improper use can shorten their lifespan.
