If someone were to ask me if I was an outdoor person, my first answer would be: not really. Then I would have to think about my hobbies, and in one way or another, I'm always outside - just in different environments. Be it the weekly football game with friends, my new lockdown passion of going for a run a couple of times a week, family trips to the beautiful British countryside, or gardening - not to mention the annual camping trip in the Lake District. I am an outdoor enthusiast and proud of it.
All these outdoor activities place different demands on my footwear, whether it's style, grip, or other needs, but one thing is important to me in all of them: comfort.
During my time at Muck Boots, I have observed with great pleasure how the brand continues to appeal to its loyal customer base while simultaneously venturing into new outdoor areas with new athletic developments and innovations, evolving there with originality and courage to be different.
Since the early days when the brand launched in the UK, it has established itself in agriculture and the outdoors with first-class winter wellington boots that offer warmth, comfort, and protection - with models like the Muckmaster, Chore and Arctic Adventure (some may still remember the older names of British rivers). In September 2020, we launched our new, high-performance all-terrain boot, the Apex with a zipper, developed on an innovative sole unit for demanding outdoor activities where a particularly sporty and agile shoe is required. The Apex features Muck Boot's signature neoprene/rubber construction and is equipped with a zipper for easy on and off. And of course, 100% waterproof. Underfoot comfort is provided by a particularly dense dual-density insole, a firmer PU layer for more stability, and a soft top layer of memory foam for long-lasting comfort. An additional practical advantage is the bioDewix moisture management and antimicrobial NZYM technology for odor management.
The full-length anatomical EVA midsole offers an ideal blend of support and comfort. It provides high impact protection without compromising the comfortable walking experience.
In March 2021, our Outscape collection was launched, offering even more performance with a 100% waterproof, comfortable outdoor sports shoe. Here, we used the same proven underfoot technology as in the Apex and also introduced new construction techniques through the development of MuckSkin, a patented, lightweight rubber-neoprene combination. The result? With the Outscape, you no longer have to compromise when choosing your footwear if you want to combine the comfort and style of a sneaker with the functionality of a boot.
